Be Grateful

Well, here we are friends, almost to Thanksgiving again.  It is going to be a crazy week for me at work.  One—it’s a short week, but two, I work for a retail company and obviously Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year.  Everyone is going to be running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to prepare.  I work in the accounting department of this company, so the craziness doesn’t really affect me other than it seems to swirl around me which gets on one’s nerves!!!

I will not be out there with the masses this Friday.  I have to work unfortunately, but also, I think my shopping is done, and so is all my making I think.  I wrapped a lot of gifts yesterday—still have quite a few to wrap, but I’m getting there.  It feels strange to have all of my making done this early.  I’m normally one of those people that’s trying to figure out if it’s possible to block an afghan in the car.  Just as an aside—it’s not!

Here is a pattern for those of you that are a little stuck for a gift for a child. My Party Hat and Scarf will fit a child ages 6 to about 10 or so and it’s really quite simple and works up quickly.  I hope you enjoy and it takes a bit of the stress off of your overflowing plates (both figuratively and literally considering it is Thanksgiving week)  Enjoy my friends and have a very happy Thanksgiving.  Remember to be grateful for the little things.  Peace.
