Good morning/night/whatever!

Good morning.  Well I guess you can call it morning. It's 3 AM and I am awake. For what reason I have no idea.  I woke up about an hour ago and could not go back to sleep.  That is so frustrating. I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm talking about.   You go to bed early thinking okay I'm going to get a great night's sleep because for whatever reason you just feel exhausted.  Then because you went to bed way too early you wake up way to early.  So here we are--the wee hours of the morning, watching Lester Holt on a repeat of the evening news and trying to figure out where I went wrong with my latest crochet project.  I have been working on a doll and she was going along fine until it was time to add her face.  UGH!  She began taking on a crazed look.  I'm not a good embroiderer and even though that is the case, her nose and mouth looked great.  Her eyes however--not so much!  Too small, too large, too light, too dark.  So frustrating!!!!!!  So, I've scrapped her and am going to start again.  FROM THE BEGINNING! :-/

So, how are the Christmas projects coming along?  Mine are okay.  I finished a big one for my brother last weekend and I'm hoping to get at least another one done this weekend.  We don't have anything going on to speak of, so I'm hoping to get a lot accomplished. :-)

Also, one other thing I want to address before I move on to today's free pattern, is the comments section of the blog.  I really appreciate it when you guys leave a comment, it lets me know that there are people out there that are interested.  However, please forgive me if I don't respond to them right away.  It used to send me an email when someone posted a comment, and then I could login and respond or whatever.  Well I just figured out it's not doing that anymore.  So, that being said, I will try and get into the habit of checking frequently for comments.

Now today's free pattern is the Cropped Cobbled Poncho.  I think this would make a great Christmas project.  It is done in Premier Yarn's Gradient Pack.
